Frequently Asked Questions
What is mobile foot care?
MMFC provides a service where a registered nurse provides routine foot care in the comfort of your home or assisted living community. This allows patients to receive safe, professional care without the need to travel to a clinic.
What services do you provide?
Services include nail trimming and shaping, reduction of thickened nails, ingrown toenail prevention, basic callus care, diabetic and circulation education, and a general foot assessment.
Who can benefit from mobile foot care?
Mobile foot care is helpful for:
-
Seniors
-
Individuals with limited mobility
-
People who have difficulty reaching their feet
-
Residents of assisted living communities
-
Anyone who prefers care in their home
How often should foot care be done?
Most people benefit from routine foot care every 6–8 weeks, depending on nail growth and foot health.
Do you treat ingrown toenails?
We provide preventative and conservative care for ingrown toenails by trimming nails properly and relieving pressure. If a more advanced procedure is needed, we will recommend follow-up with your podiatrist.
What are your fees?
Routine foot care appointments are $75-$125 per visit. Pricing may vary depending on location and travel time. Initial intake visit is priced higher than routine visit to cover medical records and additional time needed to get past medical history. Group and facility discounts are available.
Do you accept insurance?
Our services are private pay. We accept cash, card or check. We can accept HSA/FSA Cards. We do not accept or bill insurance. We can provide a receipt for your records.
Are you a doctor or prescriber?
No. Our services are provided by registered nurses, not a physician or prescribing provider. We provide routine and preventative foot care and education. If a medical issue requiring a physician or podiatrist is identified, we will recommend appropriate follow-up. Our visits do not replace care by a physician or podiatrist and we highly recommend regular appointments with your health care providers. If you have wounds, pain, signs of infection or decreased circulation we ask you make an appointment with your physician prior to booking with us.
Is the equipment sanitized?
Yes. All instruments are cleaned and sanitized according to CDC Guidelines and professional medical standards to ensure patient safety.
Do you travel to assisted living facilities?
Yes. Services are available in private homes, assisted living communities, and senior living facilities.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled by phone or email

Will you soak my feet or polish my nails?
Foot soaks are not performed prior to treatment. Research shows that soaking the feet can increase the risk of infection by softening already fragile skin and increasing the potential for cross-contamination. For this reason, foot care is performed on clean, dry feet.
We also do not apply nail polish. Our services are medical in nature and focus on maintaining the health and safety of your feet rather than providing cosmetic treatments.
Do you provide finger nail care?
Yes, we can provide finger nail care for an additional fee. Please let us know when booking so the appropriate time block can be provided.
